ALLENDALE — A 17-yr-previous girl and quite a few pets died in a house hearth late Saturday afternoon.
The fireplace started off all over 5:10 p.m. at a two-tale house on Bonnie Way.
Firefighters uncovered the female, who was the only particular person inside the household, according to Allendale law enforcement. She was afterwards pronounced dead at Valley Clinic.
Northern Regional Large School principal Joseph Occhino determined the sufferer as junior Riley Boyle. She was a member of the Highlanders track-and-industry staff.
“We are deeply saddened by this information. The whole school group extends our heartfelt feelings and prayers to the Boyle loved ones throughout this quite tricky time,” Occhino mentioned in a letter to the school neighborhood.
Makeshift memorial in the entrance yard
The family’s pet and two cats also died in the fireplace, Allendale Police Main Michael Dillon told NJ.com.
Shots revealed on NorthJersey.com show a memorial with bouquets and stuffed animals in the entrance garden of her family’s property on Sunday.
The preliminary investigation by Allendale police, the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Workplace and the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office environment decided the fireplace to be accidental.
